Afternoon Delight 01/10/08

Features new tracks from:

Surf City - New Zealanders originally known as Kill Surf City. Sound familiar? They pulled their name from a Jesus & Mary Chain track. If your a fan of lo-fi sounds, this band is for you.

The Antlers - a Brooklyn based band led by singer/song writer Peter Silberman. After nearly 2 years of work (and a handful of EPs) they are getting ready to self-release Hospice, the follow up to 2007’s In The Attic Of The Universe, on March 3. They are a band to keep an eye out for.

Peter Bjorn & John - the boys of PB&J sent Kanye West their new track & gave him permission to post it on his blog. Why Kanye? I'm not sure. But hey I'm not going to complain. The track is titled Nothing to Worry About.

Telepathe - Brooklyn duo Busy Gangnes and Melissa Livaudis are about to release their upcoming album Dance Mother available for download January 27th or physical release March 10th. The most attractive thing about the album is that it was produced by TV on the Radio's very own David Sitek.

Fever Ray - The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson has a new side project called Fever Ray & her debut album will be available digitally on the 13th or physically on March 29th. This week saw the release of the music video for If I Had a Heart, it was directed by Andreas Nilsson (Jose Gonzales, The Knife, Love is All, Goldfrapp & even some Yo Gabba Gabba).
